O-Si-Yo, Hi my name is Kimberly Little Day Tanskanen. As a member of the Cherokee, Quapaw, and Seneca Cayuga Tribes, I enjoy using Indigenous teachings as part of my stories.

Besides homeschooling my son, I am a wife, mother, and Christian. I am passionate about being involved in my communities, especially the community of indigenous writers and artists.

I have two cats at home, both quite fluffy! They go by the names of Miget and Selene. While exploring our local area, I enjoy taking my son on various adventures and learning. I love watching old-fashioned musicals and listening to soundtracks, especially instrumentals. I love horses and otters, though I have none of my own.

I also love to draw and paint. Felt is a new medium to me and I am looking forward to exploring more with it.

I believe imagination is both a muscle and a tool that everyone should use. I feel that if you exercise it, then possibilities open like a floodgate!
